A journey to build an alternative farm leads to building communities with a sustainable food source.
Twelve years ago we began thinking more broadly and outside the box as we started researching alternative farm systems. After years of research, studying, testing, and development, we implemented a scalable, sustainable, resilient, alternative farming system that has been in commercial production for six years.
Alō Farms of Georgia Founder, Jefferson Brown, had a vision and desire to serve communities through alternative farming. When Jefferson came across the Greek word "alō," he knew it was a perfect fit for the name of the farm. The meaning of "alō" is To Feed, To Nourish, To Sustain, and To Develop. By bringing alternative farming to communities, it provides food security that is sustainable with the commitment of each community.
We look forward to serving the community in Peachtree City and beyond!
